<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>More and more people each and every day now realize that we must look to alternative energy sources for the future. The two easiest to take advantage of, and most readily available, come from the sun and wind. Basically, that&#8217;s the reason <a href="http://www.solarwindenergys.com" target="_blank">DIY Solar Power</a> has become so popular. Manufacturers charge an incredible amount of money to homeowners for their solar power systems.</p>
<p>The cost is still exorbitant but the wonderful thing now is that homeowners can make and install their very own solar panels. And it can be done for a fraction of the cost. It sounds complicated, but building solar panels are very simple in practice. Just about all hardware stores stocked the tools and materials needed to complete the project.</p>
<p>Just about anyone that gives it an honest effort can do it because there are no specialized skills required. DIY solar power enthusiasts are a community of sorts and help each other through forums on the Internet as well as in other ways. Hobbyists and homeowners alike are finding that it can be quite rewarding to go green.</p>
<p>The cost of electricity will be reduced in a significant way, if not eliminated. The resale value of the home is also enhanced. The improvement in tech knowledge makes building solar power systems possible for just about anyone. It&#8217;s made of solar cells, batteries and mounts. Constructing solar cells is how the process begins.</p>
<p>The individual cells then work in tandem to turn the sun&#8217;s rays into electricity. The completed cells are then wired together which form the battle. It is the cells working in tandem that creates a functioning panel. The end product is called a photovoltaic solar panel. While photovoltaic sounds like an intimidating word, it simply means turning light into electricity. After that it must be installed on the home.</p>
<p>Electricity generated is then stored for later use, used immediately or sent to the utility company for credits. May be using the word sold is a bit misleading. What happens is that the house is wired to the electrical grid and the homeowner sends their excess electricity to the utility company.</p>
<p>Credits are rewarded to the homeowner that can be used to offset their electric bill. When enough credits are earned to eliminate the entire cost of the bill, it is known as going off the grid. Sounds pretty appealing doesn&#8217;t it? That&#8217;s because it is. <a href="http://www.bloggersbase.com/blogs/Greendiy15/diy-solar-power-generate-electricity-home/" target="_blank">DIY Solar Power</a> saves quite a bit of money and those absolutely no damage to the environment.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In this article we will discuss some themes related to different types of constructions used to produce solar power. We will begin from the grid-tied systems. </p>
<p>A utility-interactive solar power system makes electricity, which is put directly to the grid. The word grid-tied means, that the system is tied, verbatim, to the grid. This system will accumulate the energy even when you are absent, when you and you are on vacation with your friends during the holidays. You just may use the energy after you come back home. That is why you will reduce your electricity bills` costs or even forget about them.</p>
<p>Known as solar modules (photovoltaic) panels, they give the beginning for very interesting process of transforming of solar energy into solar power. The word photovoltaic sounds in such a way because of physics rule, which says how the solar energy may be converted into electricity. Briefly, there are many silicon cells in each such panel, every cell gives the reaction with photons (units of lights), which came from the sun. Than direct current electricity is produced.</p>
<p>The construction of the panel also contains so-called mounting racks, which are used to orient PV panels properly. For instance, the panel may face the west, while the most effective side is north. There are three types of mounts, which are available: the most popular in cities rooftop, and less used ground and poles, which are set in concrete. There is also a great amount of additional equipment that is being used with the panels. But it depends on the certain type of the panel.</p>
<p>There is also a DC disconnect, which is used when safe disconnect of the flow of electricity from the PV panels is needed. It may happened in case of overload.</p>
<p>Such detail as inverter makes the raw DC power, which is produced by the solar panels, be converted to usable AC ( that means alternating current) power that may than be used in exploitation of the household equipment, lighting and other electric devices. That is because all of them run off alternating current electricity. </p>
<p>Such device as the AC Breaker Panel/Inverter AC Disconnect is located in the place where the dwelling wiring touches the power supply. It consists of special elements that can be used both for protecting from fires and for usual purposes.</p>
<p>Speaking briefly, all three types of panels are working similar. It is important to know some things when you decide to by the PV panels. You must buy the right panel depending on how much power your home needs, how much room and land you have to understand where it can be mounted.</p>
<p>You also can find that some manufacturers and sites saying that panel A is much more better because it is more effective at low light. It may be true, but listen: one panel may be more effective than the other under the same sun light with the difference of 1 percent. But in the same time this more efficient panel may take 15 percent more room space. So take it into consideration. If you have enough space you may take it, but in another case think before you buy the panel.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In an effort to reduce energy bills, both homeowners and businesses are looking to solar power as a viable alternative. You can easily add this type of renewable energy to your system by purchasing a DIY solar power kit. However, there are five important things with which you should be familiar before you make such a purchase.<br />
<strong><br />
Dimension of the Solar Panels</strong></p>
<p>The exact measurements of the solar panels should be indicated on the DIY solar power kit, which will help you determine if your roof space is sufficient for the solar module. Be sure you also know the weight of the solar panels, as that information will be necessary to determine if your roof can support the solar panels if you have roof tiles installed. If you know the weight and dimension of the panels, you can determine whether your roof is structurally sound enough to handle the added load.<br />
<strong><br />
Total Power Generation</strong></p>
<p>You should calculate the amount of power you use in your home before you install any DIY solar power kit. Additionally, determine how many appliances you want to connect to the solar power system. Once you’ve come up with a figure, buy the appropriate DIY solar power kit. Kits of a variety of sizes are available; further, some kits can be interconnected if one alone is not sufficient.</p>
<p><strong>Durability</strong></p>
<p>Because they are outdoors, solar power panels are constantly exposed to harsh elements like hail, rain, snow and sun. Due to this exposure, the frame should be constructed of aluminum or another durable material, while the solar cells should be covered with tempered glass.</p>
<p><strong>Long-Term Warranty</strong></p>
<p>The return on investment or ROI for DIY solar power kits can take years. As such, it&#8217;s advisable to take into consideration the length of a product&#8217;s warranty prior to purchase. Most experts recommend getting a 20- to 25-year warranty on new solar panels.</p>
<p><strong>Installation and Maintenance</strong></p>
<p>Select a DIY solar power kit that has easy installation. There are kits available on the market that contain all the components needed to start your own solar power system. Additionally, you should also consider one that will require only minimal maintenance over the years in service. The best choice is solar panels that require, at minimum, scrubbing once a year to have the panels work at maximum efficiency.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many people want to know if theywill save money if they install solar panels. Solar panels cost quite a bit and people want to know if the investment will pay down in the end. There are a few different ways to look at that query. One way to answer this question is to consider the environmental cost of using other methods for producing power. Another is to look at the cost of the solar cells themselves and work out how long it would most likely take for lower power and water bills to clear the panels. </p>
<p>The cost of solar energy panels continues to get go down in reply to advances in technology and increased demand. The price you pay for electricity , however , just continues to rise. Nowadays you&#8217;ll find a number of government programs offering tax credits to people who install renewable energy in their homes. This may actually lower the cost it can pay to install solar energy panels. There are many things which do into determining the cost of your solar cells. Learn more about <a href="http://www.newcheapsolarpanels.com/" target='_blank'>cheap solar panels</a>. </p>
<p>A few of these factors include things like the warranty period, the whole amount of electricity the unit is capable of manufacturing, and the brand. Although everyone want to pay as little as possible you want to look at more than price when you&#8217;re choosing inexpensive solar panels. When selecting solar panels one thing you need to be sure to look at is how long you may expect the system to last. One thing that can offer you an idea of this is the length of the warranty period. Try and stay with brands that supply a twenty to twenty five year warranty. This permits you to know that you may expect at least that many years from them. </p>
<p>The dimensions of the unit will also impact the final cost of the unit. The simplest way to compare prices for the different kinds of solar energy panels is by knowing the bucks per watt. The power output for a solar cell is measured in watts. The more watts a panel produces the larger itwill be. Choose a solar energy panel system which can produce enough watts to meet your requirements.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Middle class families remain always concerned about their budget, like how much to spend and how much to invest for hard days. But their planning always seems to fail due to some payments for essential services. Electricity bill is the main amongst them that keeps on raising higher and higher as you add on a new appliance for your comfort to your home. Now after the invention of solar panels, it was easy to cut off the electricity bills but harder to invest a huge amount on buying them at first. People have to lay thousands and thousands of dollars on their roofs in the form of solar cells. This was not a good idea. But good news is that you can now <a href="http://solarlpower.com/solar-panels/build-solar-panels-at-home" target="_blank">build solar panels at home</a> and that too by investing a small amount of money. The panel that you will make at home will be as per your requirement and as per your budget.</p>
<p>It’s not tough to make your own solar panels at home as you might think. But just some basics which you should know about soldering iron, making a concentration, wiring and how to make use of tools with nuts and bolts. That’s it and you can begin with the making.</p>
<p>Now if you really want to <a href="http://solarlpower.com/solar-panels/build-solar-panels-at-home" target="_blank">build solar panels at home</a>, then begin with buying a kit from market. This will be much easier and don’t worry about the costs, its low enough to buy. Further you may not require any assistance as the kit you will buy includes an instruction guide which will help you making your solar panel at comfort. The things you need to know are like using tool box, working with nuts and bolts and soldering a metal. That’s it and you are done.</p>
<p>It’s an effective way to save your hard earned money instead of paying for electricity bills. A problem can be there for those who live in cool areas where sun hardly comes out of the clouds to help you out. Perhaps panels for cooking will be a waste at those places. It’s possible the time sun is hot and your solar cells are generating electric current at a high rate and you are not in need of the supply. So here comes the role of battery. Buy a good battery as per the configuration of solar panels you have and let the all time generated current be stored for you so as you can use it any time you wish.</p>
<p>At last you need to know about the storage device. It’s not necessary that the area in which you live is hot enough or full of sun rays throughout the season. Don’t forget about the night. Your panels won’t work at that time. So you will need some batteries to store your inverted current in it. It can be then used when ever you wish to. If you will now go for it and <a href="http://solarlpower.com/solar-panels/build-solar-panels-at-home" target="_blank">build solar panels at home</a>, you will undoubtedly help maintaining an eco-friendly environment and saving some form of energy by utilizing the waste part of solar energy.<br />

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Everyone knows the many benefits of Green Energy. It is a eco friendly technology, with will reliably generate power with nothing but the sun. The disadvantage is the initial upfront cost of the solar panels Everyone also knows that solar panels can be very expensive and they require a lot of know how for the installation. We would all like to love and take better care of this wonderful planet, while at the same time being friendly to our pocketbook. </p>
<p>I mean, what could be better? It helps not only the planet but also yourself right. I don&#8217;t know of many people that have twenty-seven thousand dollars in their dresser drawer in invest in this great ideal.Well, the solution is readily available: construct your own solar panels, and create your own Green Energy. Did you know that for less than a couple hundred dollars you can design your own solar panels? Sounds great, and it is great. That exactly right, with just a modicum of effort you too can create enough free solar energy, to generate electricity for the entire home, and maybe just a tiny bit extra &#8212; selling it back to the power company sounds like an awesome idea!</p>
<p>But this sounds very difficult; it will likely take a degree of some sort just the put this Green Energy thing together. The simple truth of the matter is that is doesn&#8217;t require anything more than you already have. A teenager, still in high school can construct their own solar panels out of things that are quickly found at the department or hardware store, and instead of writing a monthly check Electric Utilities Are Us will write you a check.</p>
<p>I know of a simple step-by-step method that will walk the least mechanically inclined person through the process of building your own solar panel and creating their own Green Energy. It&#8217;s simple, it&#8217;s cheap, and Green Energy is as free as a sunny day.</p>

Jobs are lost on a grand scale, and the United States workforce is scrambling to reeducate, retrain and switch professions. Amidst the recession, there is a single field that is soaring with opportunities. </p>
<p>That is jobs in alternative energy such as solar. Green collar jobs are being created thanks to the environmentally friendly use of energy in businesses and homes. </p>
<p>Careers in solar energy range from making solar panels, installing them, and servicing them. Moreover, other careers in solar energy include the manufacture of home solutions that allow for an easy plug and play adaptability of various <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/residential-solar-power/' target=_blank >solar panel options</a> in modern new home construction. Yet, did you know that the demand for trained solar technicians does not end with the home itself but instead goes much further and deeper than that.</p>
<p>Other careers in solar energy deal with the various public use venues that now rely on solar energy for lighting, signage, and several mechanical aspects of doing business. </p>
<p>What is more, the large scale harnessing of solar energy requires not only installers and technicians, but also administrators and electricity flow designers who can adequately manage the alternate sources of energy concurrently with the conventional means of providing electricity. Training for solar energy careers is available at some junior colleges as well as online.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you believe <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/solar-energy-books/' target=_blank >solar glass</a> and photovoltaics is a relatively new development in technology, you will be surprised to learn it is actually the kind of technology that has been around for more than 100 years. The story of solar glass and photovoltaics began in 1839 when the Alexandre Becquerel experimented with electrodes and electrolytes and discovered an odd level of conductance. </p>
<p>Further experiments in 1873 and 1887 continued to show solar glass and photovoltaics yielded indeed illuminating results with a number of different materials. It was not until 1904 Albert Einstein actually worked on the problem and offered a succinct explanation of what happened on the physics level of the reaction. From there came the 1918 development of the first solar cells. As the space race between the United States and the former Soviet Union heated up, solar glass and photovoltaics became further developed for use on space satellites.</p>
<p>Today, <a href='<br />
http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/solar-technology/' target=_blank >solar technology</a> is a much sought after commodity in the residential as well as commercial market. The idea of turning sunlight into usable electricity and stored up warmth ? as opposed to paying princely sums for electricity from the power plant ? has inspired homeowners wanting to save money to check out green building options and incorporate solar panels into their homes. </p>
<p>With the increase in demand and the continued development of cheaper <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/solar-panels/' target=_blank >solar panels</a> and easier ways of retrofitting already built structures to also benefit from solar technology, it goes without saying that sunlight will become one of the most desirable energy sources in the near future. Wind technology is currently its main competitor, but the guarantee of the daily sunlight tends to beat wind technology ? at least in the minds of consumers ? any time.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>New home construction is slowly picking back up and <a href='http://www.renewablepoweroptions.com/' target=_blank >green building options</a> now make up the portfolios of a wide array of home builders. The demand for green building options is of course driving this development, but its popularity has always been a known driving force in the home building industry. After all, consumers who had the funds required to commission a custom built home, generally also envisioned money saving and environmentally friendly options that seemed to naturally go together. </p>
<p>The majority of <a href='http://www.renewablepoweroptions.com/' target=_blank >green building</a> options involve the use of material choices. These are materials which may be ecologically sound, derived from environmentally friendly locales, or simply comprised of renewable resources. At the same time, in some cases green building options can be something as simple as determining the direction a house should face, just to capitalize on the sun exposure and also the natural runoff the site possesses. The former helps with the regulation of heat and cold, while the latter greatly influences the landscaping. </p>
<p>The popularity of <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/residential-solar-power/' target=_blank >green building options</a> requires construction workers to undergo a new level of education that allows them to make good use of the improved building materials at their disposal. Moreover, in some cases the use of conventional building materials concurrently with environmentally friendly materials is not indicated, and unless a construction team is trained in the adequate use of available materials, the full benefit cannot be reaped. In this case, the popularity of green building options is also leading to a niche in the construction industry, the creation of green collar jobs, and a run on community colleges that offer construction workers the coursework needed.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Grants from the government have been offered to stimulate agriculture, industry, residential development, utility expansion, commerce, science and public enterprise. They may reduce the cost of manufacturing or operation. They may lead to added research and development. </p>
<p>They may help people afford technology that will benefit the world. Grants renewable energy focuses on solar energy sources, geothermal sources and alternative wind energy sources. For right now, grants renewable energy can help pay for new heaters, solar panels, roofs, appliances, windows and more. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.solarpowerenergygeneration.com/grants_renewable_energy.html" target='_blank'>resource renewable energy</a><br />Rather than approve outright grants renewable energy checks, state and federal governments often like to offer tax rebates instead. However, House Bill 473 provides money up front, rather than after-the-fact tax credits. The new measure could pay for up to 35% of the resources renewable energy cost of a project or as much as $100,000 to $500,000, depending on the technology. </p>
<p>Federal grants are also available for up to 30% of a project&#8217;s cost, making the total subsidy 65%. So if turbine wind energy was something of interest to a business owner, he or she would only have to pay 35% of the cost to install turbine wind energy or solar supplies sources. </p>
<p>The U.S. Department of Energy offers grants renewable energy funds through a Weatherization program and a State Energy Program. Weatherization grants help low-income families reduce their utility bills and create more energy efficient homes through installing new heating/cooling systems, new windows, insulation or some other approved renovation. </p>
<p>For farmers, one of the best grants renewable energy programs is called the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), established in May 2008 as part of the Food, Conservation and Energy Act.Interested citizens can get more information from www.doe.gov or www.focusonenergy.com. </p>
<p>In addition to resource renewable energy programs, there are other ways to save money by making resources renewable energy upgrades. Bank or government loans for energy may bring down the interest rate to save investors thousands of dollars. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.solarpowerenergygeneration.com/grants_renewable_energy.html" target='_blank'>sources wind energy</a><br />Cash rebates can inspire responsible purchases by offsetting the cost differential between a regular appliance and an Energy Star appliance, while putting money back into the buyers&#8217; pockets quickly. </p>
<p>Lastly, Energy Efficient Mortgages allow homeowners to qualify for larger mortgage loans if there are wind, geothermal, hydro or solar energy sources on the property. </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the 1800s, solar energy was first used. As a source of power for the home, solar energy hasn&#8217;t proliferated as it has with calculators and wristwatches. Solar power got off to a rough start in the previous century.S. experienced oil crises or embargos. But its proliferation has not yet been accomplished, mainly due to its cost.</p>
<p>Here in the 21st century, <a href='http://www.renewablepoweroptions.com/' target=_blank >renewable energy</a> has once again become a hot topic. Steps are needed to save our planet, including using fewer fossil fuels. We need only to harness a portion of its solar power to meet our present energy demands.</p>
<p>In fact, if just 4 percent of the earth&#8217;s entire desert area contained solar panels, it would supply all of the electricity the world needs.</p>
<p>We can harness the power of the sun with the use of solar panels. To fully comprehend how solar panels work requires a background in chemistry. However, each panel is a collecton of photovoltaic, in layman&#8217;s terms. (PV) cells. The inner content of each PV cell is highly-purified silicon. Silicon has properties that act as both a metal and an insulator. </p>
<p>The light from the sun is captured by the PV cells, and creates <a href='http://www.renewablepoweroptions.com/news-articles/' target=_blank >solar power</a> by producing electricity. When sunlight hits the panel, electrons are dislodged. This creates an electrical current that can be used or stored. Storing excess power is a problem with solar energy because the sun does not shine all the time and PV cells do not store power. The solution is deep cycle rechargable batteries, which can store power harnessed from the sun.</p>
<p>Solar panels work quietly and do not produce radiation. Since the parts don&#8217;t move while generating solar power the panels rarely brake down. Presently there are 14 types of PV cells, each made of varying kinds of silicon. use solar panels as a supplemental energy source for utility customers, rather than as their sole energy source.</p>
<p>Your building&#8217;s roof or its windows can have solar panels built right in. Facades and canopies are also suitable applications.</p>
<p>New kinds of <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/' target=_blank >solar panels</a> are now being researched. The objective is to increase efficiency and lower costs associated with using solar energy. we can take advantage of all the power the sun has to offer.</p>

<p>That is careers in solar energy. Green collar jobs are being created thanks to the environmentally friendly use of energy in businesses and homes. </p>
<p>Careers in solar energy include the manufacture of solar panels, the installation of said panels, and of course also the servicing of them, once installed. If you are interested in making consumer <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/residential-solar-power/' target=_blank >solar applications</a>, one growing segment is the market for easily interconnectable panels, which can be adapted for different-sized homes, and added to new homes when they built. Yet, did you know that the demand for trained solar technicians does not end with the home itself but instead goes much further and deeper than that.</p>
<p>Other careers in solar energy involve public use venues which use solar energy for lighting, signs, and mechanical aspects. </p>
<p>The career of solar energy needs installers, technicians, administrators and electricity flow designers. They can manage this alternative source of energy using a conventional way to provide electricity. Education for these kinds of jobs is already being offered on the junior college level and also via distance learning venues.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Solar energy was first used in the 1800s. Although it is common for calcators and wristwatches to operate with solar energy, its proliferation as a source of power for the home is not as common. The use of <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/store/' target=_blank >home solar power</a> experienced fits and starts in the last century, especially whenever the U.S. experienced oil crises or embargos. But its proliferation has not yet been accomplished, mainly due to its cost.</p>
<p>As we begin a new century, replenishable energy sources are a big topic once more. Steps are needed to save our planet, including using fewer fossil fuels. We need only to harness a portion of its solar power to meet our present energy demands.</p>
<p>Solar Panels in just 4 percent of the worldâ??s desert area is sufficient to provide electricity for the whole universe. </p>
<p>We can harness the power of the sun with the use of <a href='http://www.siliconsolar.com/?bid=26&#038;partner=shendison' target=_blank >solar panels</a>. </p>
<p>To fully comprehend how solar panels work requires a background in chemistry. In layman&#8217;s terms, however, each panel is a collection of photovoltaic (PV) cells. Each PV cell is made of highly-purified silicon. Silicon acts both as an insulator as well as a metal. The light from the sun is captured by the PV cells, and creates solar power by producing electricity. </p>
<p>Electrons come away from the panel when sunlight makes contact with it. An electrical current is created, which can either be used immediately or stored for later use. Since the sun is intermittent, and since PV cells do not store energy, the excess power can be stored in deep-cycle rechargeable batteries.</p>
<p><a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/solar-panels/' target=_blank >Solar panels</a> can be built right into your building&#8217;s roof or its windows. You may think of facades and canopies also.</p>
<p>New kinds of solar panels are now being researched. The goals are increased effectiveness in harnessing solar power, as well as reducing its cost. we can take advantage of all the power the sun has to offer.</p>

Jobs are lost on a grand scale, and the United States workforce is scrambling to reeducate, retrain and switch professions. Amidst the recession, there is a single field that is soaring with opportunities. </p>
<p>That is jobs in alternative energy such as solar. The environmentally friendly procurement of energy and its various way of being utilized in the home or in business has given rise to the formation and development of green collar jobs which require filling. </p>
<p>Careers in solar energy include the manufacture of solar panels, the installation of said panels, and of course also the servicing of them, once installed. Moreover, other careers in solar energy include the manufacture of home solutions that allow for an easy plug and play adaptability of various panel options in modern new home construction. Trained solar technicians are in demand with homes, but beyond that as well.</p>
<p>Other careers in solar energy involve public use venues which use solar energy for lighting, signs, and mechanical aspects. </p>
<p>What is more, the large scale harnessing of solar energy requires not only installers and technicians, but also administrators and electricity flow designers who can adequately manage the alternate sources of energy concurrently with the conventional means of providing electricity. Training for <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/' target=_blank >careers in solar energy</a> is available at some junior colleges as well as online.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You have undoubtedly seen the headlines proclaiming the federal government goes green and encourages citizens to do the same. Have you ever wondered what it actually means when the federal government goes green?</p>
<p>?Perhaps the most readily seen impact of the government going green is the creation of green collar jobs. While before a small number of <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/' target=_blank >solar energy</a> technician could handle the workload, suddenly there is a demand for more solar energy technicians, and as such new jobs are created in the field. </p>
<p>?As the demand for skilled and trained technicians increases, the need for training increases as well. Junior colleges are usually at the forefront of answering the call for training the workforce, and already there are programs that have sprung up in support of the new federal trend. </p>
<p>?As the federal government goes green, local governments are likely to follow suit. This greatly increases the creation of green collar jobs in the technology and installation fields, and it also generates jobs in the educational arena for the training of these workers. </p>
<p>As you can see, when the federal government goes green, it generates a lot of new jobs that thus far have not been in high demand. Moreover, the energy savings the many offices will realize tend to translate into bona fide national conservation efforts that also help ? in some cases ? already overloaded grits to not suffer from outages. Everyone wins when the feds go green, and for the average resident, business owner, or homeowner, it also stands to be a winning solution to their own energy needs and worries.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In a day and age when dollar stores sell cameras and other devices which would normally cost a pretty penny, it is only a matter of time before the latest solar powered gadgets also become available at laughably low prices. The most common consumer products currently on the market as easy to use latest <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/featured-solar-products/' target=_blank >solar powered gadgets</a> are personal fans, radios, iPod chargers and cell phone chargers. </p>
<p>Homeowners are already well aware of the latest <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/featured-solar-products/' target=_blank >solar products</a> which could be used in the yard, such as fountains, garden lights and the holiday lights which adorn so many homes in the months of November and December. This now begs the question if you would opt for more crucial gadgetry, if it were solar powered. Imagine the use of the latest solar powered gadgets that could involve toasters, TVs, and other consumer goods that are luxury items and nonetheless enjoy daily use.</p>
<p>The downside of these latest <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/solar-powered-gadgets-and-gizmos/' target=_blank >solar powered gadgets</a> of course is the lack of sun. If there is no direct sunlight over a prolonged period of time, these gadgets will cease to store up energy and may not work. Moreover, if the use is too heavy at times, they may use up whatever charge they stored and before long there would be no TV, no toast, and no other luxury items that are working. This of course explains why consumers with an eco friendly mind enjoy the use of solar panels, but still shy away from solar powered gadgets themselves.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Walk down any lighting aisle in your local big box home appliance store, and you find some run of the mill <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/specialty-solar-lights/' target=_blank >solar landscape lights</a>. Online venues sell more intricate options that are sometimes so breathtakingly beautiful that you cannot help but wonder: do solar landscape lights really work or are they just pretty things to stick in your yard? You will be surprised to learn that they are both gorgeous and functional, all at the same time. </p>
<p>Solar landscape lights for decorative accents lend a bit of lighting to the landscape without actually illuminating too much of the yard. This is done by savvy gardeners who want to create a somewhat ethereal quality to their outdoors. Right around trees, within bushes, and also around garden structures, these little <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/' target=_blank >solar landscape lights</a> make for a beautiful addition in any garden setting. </p>
<p>Of course, s<a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/store/' target=_blank >solar landscape lights</a> also fulfill practical applications, such as lighting a garden path, driveway, or simply illuminating an entrance way. There is a bit of a downside to these more functional lights, however, in that they require copious wiring to keep them working. What is more, in some cases the functional lighting devices lack the smaller solar cells and still rely on the more visible, albeit more functional, photovoltaic cells. </p>
<p>If you are ready to add landscape lighting to your yard, discuss your needs with a reputable dealer. The goal is to receive advice and also find out how combinations of these lights can set the tone for a yard, make it festive during the holidays, and also create the perfect ambiance for an evening barbeque.</p>

<p>PV cells perform the electric conversion silently and without pollution, and the solar panels do not emit any radiation. Solar power is generated with no moving parts; therefore, the panels require no maintenance. Each of the 14 types of PV cells is made of some kind of silicon. </p>
<p>It is now most common to use solar panels as a supplemental energy source for utility customers, rather than as their sole energy source. Solar panels can be built right into your building&#8217;s roof or its windows. Facades and canopies are also suitable applications.</p>
<p>New kinds of <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/solar-panels/' target=_blank >solar panels</a> are now being researched. The goals are increased effectiveness in harnessing solar power, as well as reducing its cost. When that time comes, we can take advantage of all the power the sun has to offer.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Old fashioned <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/solar-panels/' target=_blank >solar panel technology</a> looked cumbersome and rather clunky on a rooftop. Even the more modern, sleeker looking panels still at times make a home look a bit odd. Leave it to indomitable gardeners to come up with unique ways of incorporating solar panel technology into their natural canvasses. </p>
<p>Greatly assisted in this innovation by the technological advances that make it unnecessary to shackle cords and plugs to the average solar panel, technology now makes it possible to even capitalize on out of the way corners or a sunny yard. Other locales for the new technology that now harnesses the power of the sun on a smaller scale are pool sides that face away from the home and even birdhouses.</p>
<p>Sure, the use of the smaller <a href='http://www.sunjuiced.com/' target=_blank >solar panel</a> technology may not any time soon help to power the inside of a home with all the gadgetry which makes life comfortable, but it does enable homeowners to at least power their exterior applications with the help of the sun?s power. </p>
<p>This often refers to electrically powered lawnmowers, hedge trimmers and pool accessories. When these items go off the grid, it greatly decreases the amount of money needed to overall power a home. What is more, this form of solar panel technology can be installed discreetly in trees, in whimsical gardening figurines and on the roofs of sheds. </p>
<p>Why not take another look at the new and improved solar panel technology and see what you could do with a few strategically placed panels?</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b><a href="http://nthdegreeenergy.com/what-are-solar-panels/" target='_blank'>What Are Solar Panels</a>?</b> Solar panels are what you put on your roof, or pole mounted, or even ground mounted to capture the power of the sun and turn it into something mankind can use. Specifically, solar panels take on one of two types: solar thermal collectors used to capture heat, and photo voltaic solar modules which convert the heat and light from the sun into electricity.</p>
<p>In many third world countries, you see large black plastic bottles on the roofs of most homes. These are a form of solar thermal collector used to heat the water for household use. In areas near the equator where the suns shine almost every day, for most of the day, these are a very effective way to heat water for daily use.</p>
<p>In developed countries, solar panels acting as thermal collectors are generally closed tube systems of air flow capture devices. For heating space, the air can be sent into porous rock, like lava rock. For heating of water, for use as either water to use or water to heat the home, panels that cycle some form of liquid that does not freeze, such as anti-freeze or glycerol is used, in a drain back fashion.</p>
<p>But the big rave these days is in photo voltaic (or PV) electric generation. PV solar panels are often referred to as solar modules, which are ganged together to capture the suns power and create electricity that can power you home, or even better, flow back into the grid where anyone else can consume the power you are generating.</p>
<p><b><i><a href="http://nthdegreeenergy.com/solar-energy-advantage-vs-disadvantages/" target='_blank'>Advantages and Disdvantages of Solar Power</a></i></b></p>
<p>With all the hype of solar energy, you must become aware that there are advantages and disadvantages regarding solar.<br />Let&rsquo;s start out with the disadvantages, and get it over:</p>
<p>&bull;	It only works when the sun shines<br />&bull;	Generation is the easy part, storage is the hard part<br />&bull;	Power companies generally limit what you can connect to the grid<br />&bull;	If you buy today, you may miss the new technology of tomorrow</p>
<p>but enough doom and gloom, what are the advantages?<br />&bull;	Go Green<br />&bull;	Reduce your electricity costs<br />&bull;	Lock in your current rate for future power<br />&bull;	Get paid to install solar</p>
<p>These are just a couple advantages.</p>
<p>So, to recap, &#8220;Solar panel&#8221; describes two types of devices that collect energy from the sun:<br /> * Solar photovoltaic modules use solar cells to convert light from the sun into electricity.<br /> * Solar thermal collectors use the sun&#8217;s energy to heat water or another fluid such as oil or antifreeze.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you want to reduce your carbon footprint or save on energy bills, you may want to think about researching homemade <a href="http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/solar-solutions/" target=_blank >solar power</a>. Integrating solar power into your life is a great idea. Energy from the sun is a renewable resource available to everyone. However, harnessing the power from the sun into solar panels can sound tricky. The truth is anyone can do it themselves, at home.</p>
<p>Commercial made solar panels can be very expensive. Thus, building them yourself can be an inexpensive and attractive option. You can have control over how much power you can generate with a homemade panel. You can choose how many panels you’ll use and how much wattage each panel will have. Because you are making the panels, you have complete control over it all.</p>
<p>One thing to consider before buying the supplies needed for solar panels is storage space. Do you have enough room to house the project? Do you have room to place the panels, once they’re complete? Most often you can place them on the roof so they can get direct sunlight. Talk with local solar retailers to get started. Ask a ton of questions and gather information on building your own panels, before you begin purchasing supplies. </p>
<p>By making your own homemade <a href="http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/solar-panels/" target=_blank >solar panels</a>, you’ll show your family you are capable of making a difference in the environment. In addition, you’ll save a great deal of money on your energy bills. Thus, taking the time to research and create your own homemade solar panels can be well worth the time and energy. </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ecologically and economically viable sources of energy are in the form of systems which utilize solar and wind power for residential purposes. The improvement of the use of solar and wind as a source of power for residential homes gives users countless advantages since it addresses many problems encountered by people today.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.diysolarandwind.jooreview.com" target='_blank'>Solar and wind power</a> could be derived through an easy yet practical way of utilizing the mechanical and heat energy emanating from the elements. Windmills have long existed and have improved through years of research and redesign. </p>
<p>Solar power is another great source of energy due to its great abundance. Scientists have long searched for sensible institutions to cater to the needs of electrical consumers. Here is a review behind the solar and wind utilization process:</p>
<p>Solar Power:</p>
<p>- The latest technology used is that of solar panels. These panels work by using heat from the sun and isolating the electrical components, which are the electrons. Electrons are the driving force to power electrical appliances.</p>
<p>- The process of isolating electrons from sunlight is a simple one. The parts of the panels include the photovoltaic cell and semiconductor plates that isolate electrons and store them in batteries. This process is quick, which assures reliability of solar energy. </p>
<p>- Tropical countries in the eastern part of the world are perfect sites for solar powered systems. In fact, people in the area have used solar plates for various purposes to power houses, cars, and cooking tools. </p>
<p>Wind Power:</p>
<p>- The blades from windmills are the key to transforming mechanical energy into electricity. The blades are designed to react to wind in a rapid manner. </p>
<p>- Once the blades start to rotate, the mechanical force is turned into electrical impulses through the use of converters. The converters are connected to batteries, which store the energy created. </p>
<p>The use of solar and wind power for residential purposes allows homes from various countries to benefit from the natural, renewable resources abundant in the area. The next few decades will give people a bright future due to the steady advances in the use of these systems. </p>
<p>Research has shown that the constant use fossil fuels to produce electricity have drastically contributed to the imbalance in the weather and life cycle found in nature. This is a serious problem, which should be addressed by the government to avoid long-term destruction of our planet. </p>
<p>It is the job of homeowners to resort to a better way of producing electricity. The greatest way is the use of solar and wind power for residential purposes. Millions of dollars have been saved in just a few years due to the use of the energy produced by the sun and wind by thousands of homes around the world.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are actually two types of solar energy system. </p>
<p>One is connected to the national grid and the other one is a standalone system. </p>
<p>When solar energy system is connected to the grid it means that all electricity which you do not use will go directly to the grid. </p>
<p>To put it in another way you are spinning your meter backwards. </p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.home-remodeling4u.com/solar" target='_blank'>solar energy system</a> which is not connected to grid is very similar except that it has a battery bank for storing the electricity for later use. </p>
<p>In both cases there is an inverter which converts the direct current (DC)from the solar panels to alternating current (AC), which is what we normally use in our homes.</p>
<p>The inverter is connected to the grid through your electricity meter if you have a grid connection. </p>
<p>Both systems are easy to maintain and require little effort. If you do use a battery bank there is some checking needed for the batteries depending on what type of batteries you use. </p>
<p>The solar panels are very durable and they often come with a 20 years guarantee. In most cases they do last 30 years so after a few years you produce very cheap electricity and your costs will be very predictable. </p>
<p>solar panels are very scalable and you can easily add more panels and get more electricity if you need to. </p>
<p>A panel is simply a collection of solar cells. </p>
<p>Usually they are made of crystalline silicon, or a combination of silicon with another material. It can also be stacked layers of alloy materials.</p>
<p>The silicon is divided into tiny disks. They are less than a centimeter in thickness, and are then polished and fixed from any cutting damage. </p>
<p>Thin silver wires, are spread across each disk and they are laid out in a grid design on top of the panel. </p>
<p>Then it is covered with a thin layer of glass and a material added to the bottom of the panel with a type of cement cement to help prevent overheating. </p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.home-remodeling4u.com/solar" target='_blank'>solar panels</a> are mounted a little above a surface facing the sun, in order to allow cooling breezes to run under the panels.<br />The power from the sun is free and inexhaustible. This vast, clean energy resource represents a very strong alternative to the fossil fuels. </p>
<p>It would be a severe injustice to our children not to take advantage of such a widely available resource.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Electric bills seem to be on the rise with no relief in sight. It&#8217;s no wonder more and more people are looking into installing <a href="http://www.sunjuiced.com" target='_blank'>learn how to make solar panels</a> in an effort to save money. But, their enthusiasm quickly fades as soon as they discover the price of professionally installed panels. It can be very expensive, and puts solar power out of reach of the average home owner. However, you can save thousands of dollars if you <a href="http://renewableenergyathome.info" target='_blank'>learn how to make solar panels</a> yourself.</p>
<p>Most of you may be assuming that you have to have some sort of engineering degree or be a DIY genius in order to make your own solar panels. But doesn&rsquo;t have to be the case. Learning how to make solar panels is a lot easier than you think. In fact, anyone can build their own solar panels, from teenagers on up, and you can do it in a weekend. Plus, you can build your solar panels for the fraction of the cost of what a pre-made solar panel system would cost you.</p>
<p>The great thing about learning how to make solar panels on your own is that you have a lot more control over the size of the system. This means that you can create a highly scalable system that can fit your needs as they grow.</p>
<p>My number one tip before you even start your solar panel project is having a quality manual. And, don&rsquo;t be surprised at how easily you&rsquo;ll find the supplies you need. In fact, you&#8217;ll find most of what you&#8217;ll need at your local hardware store. I&#8217;m talking about stuff like plywood, rolls of copper wire, and sheets of glass. You can also find inexpensive photovoltaic cells for your project quite easily, either over the internet at places like eBay, or from local retailers.</p>
<p>It&rsquo;s not going to take you very long to make your solar panels. The average, inexperienced do-it-yourselfer can make their own 100-Watt panels in about a day, provided they have all their materials at hand. 100-Watts may not sound like much, but you&#8217;ll be able to power some of your smaller appliances, or perhaps even your workshop so you&#8217;ll be able to build more solar panels and your first panel will provide all the power! Now that&#8217;s pretty neat.</p>
<p>But, before you begin, you must get your hands on a good, quality manual that will provide the detailed instructions you need. It should be able to teach you how to make solar panels even if you&#8217;re not very mechanically inclined. You get what you pay for so don&#8217;t skimp when you&#8217;re ready to purchase your manual. </p>
<p>The final cost of making your solar panels is pretty low so you can afford a quality manual. I won&rsquo;t lie to you. Making your own solar panels isn&rsquo;t easy, and will take a bit of effort, but with the right manual you&#8217;ll be on you&rsquo;re way to learning how to make solar panels to meet all your energy needs in no time. Then sit back and relax the next time the power goes out on your block. You&#8217;ll be the only one watching TV, and heating up food in the microwave while everyone else is eating a canned dinner by candlelight. </p>
<p>Yes, a professionally installed solar panel systems can cost thousands. Who has money to spare in today&#8217;s economy? Make the choice to go &#8220;solar&#8221; today, and <a href="http://renewableenergyathome.info" target='_blank'>learn how to make solar panels</a> on your own. You&#8217;ll be saving money, and the environment. For more information, visit <a href="http://renewableenergyathome.info" target='_blank'>http://renewableenergyathome.info</a>.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Do you want a Solar Energy Home?</strong></p>
<p>Have you always wanted to use the benefits of a solar energy home?</p>
<p>Are you worried whether your grandchildren will have the energy they need to maintain our current standard of living?</p>
<p>Do you just want to reduce your dependence on non-renewable resources like foreign oil? </p>
<p><strong>Benefits of Solar Energy</strong></p>
<p>There are certain benefits you can expect from a solar energy home. The main one is a lower energy bill. In order to save the most money, you should keep price in mind on every decision you make if you are using solar energy in your home in order to save money. Compare the price to the expected savings to determine if something is a good investment. If you are doing it to save the environment, you may not care about price as much, but most people want to save money.</p>
<p>A few of the solar energy items discussed are listed belowHere are a few of the things you will learn about:
<ul style='list-style-type:disc'>
<li>green energy plans</li>
<li>solar water heating</li>
<li>energy conservation</li>
<li>solar panels</li>
<li>solar tubes</li>
<li>solar lighting</li>
</ul>
<p>One relatively inexpensive way to bring solar energy into your home is to use solar tubes to light rooms without windows. Basically, what you do is install a reflective tube with a clear cover on your roof to let light in. You can also go with a skylight, but they are much more expensive and don&#8217;t work if you have a standard ceiling that is several feet below your roof.</p>
<p>Solar water heaters are very popular when building a solar energy home. They are more expensive than a traditional water heater, but can substantially reduce the cost of heating your water. You can usually upgrade your existing water heater, but it is cheaper if it is installed when your solar energy home is being built.</p>
<p>Another easy way to harness solar power in your home is to use solar lights. These are typically used outside as accent lights. They harness the suns energy during the day to power the light after the sun goes down. They are very handy and you don&#8217;t have to worry about running wires underground to your lights.</p>
<p>Solar panels that generate electricity are the thing that most people associate with solar energy. Usually, you see these panels on the roof of a house. They harness the suns energy and create electricity that is stored in batteries for later use. It is possible to sell electricity to the power company if your home is extremely efficient. I wouldn&#8217;t recommend planning to sell electricity though, just focus on trying to get enough electricity to power your house and save a bunch of money on electricity.</p>
<p>There are tons more items, gadgets, and appliances that harness the suns power and help break the dependence on fossil fuels and non-renewable resources. These are a few of the most popular. Put everything together and you can have your own solar energy home! </p>
<p><strong>Affordable Alternative Energy</strong></p>
<p>If living off the power grid is what you are looking to do, there are alternate power solutions and you will be surprised to learn that they are not only cost-effective but also extremely feasible. There is an informational product called Earth4Energy can help you get started without spending a ton of money. You may even get addicted to renewable energy!</p>
<p>If you decide to start harnessing solar energy, learn about how to have <a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/Solar-Energy-Home-Residential-Solar-Power" target='_blank'>a solar energy home</a> work for you. You will find more information about Earth4Energy and how to get started.</p>
<p><strong>Conserving Energy</strong></p>
<p>You never want to waste energy, but if you are living in a solar energy home, it is even more important because you most likely won&#8217;t have a surplus of electricity. If you happen to be living &#8220;off grid&#8221; then it is vital that you don&#8217;t waste the electricity you have because you can&#8217;t tap into the electric company if you need more.</p>
<p>There are a lot of resources out there that will help you save electricity which then saves you money. I have put in a quick video that can get you started saving electricity and saving money.</p>
<p>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ADp0vlcyq4</p>
<p><strong>Buy your Renewable Energy</strong></p>
<p>Now if you are the type of person that really wants to help save the environment and break away from our dependence on non-renewable resources, but just can&#8217;t do the things people associate with a solar power home, don&#8217;t despair. There is a way that you can buy green energy from your power company. This way you can help save the environment and have a clear conscience even if you can&#8217;t put up solar panels or other solar energy devices in your home.</p>
<p>Many electricity companies have a green energy plan. Basically what happens is that you indicate that you want to support the use of green energy and select a plan that gets some amount of energy from solar, wind, or water sources. You will typically pay a little more for this, but if it helps the environment many people are willing to pay more. I personally use <a href="http://vanbergen.joinambit.com" target='_blank'>Ambit Energy</a> for my electricity service. They have a green energy plan that is very competitive. Check with your electric company and see if you can get green energy. </p>
<p>If you live in Texas, New York, Illinois, and soon Ohio, you can check out Ambit for all your energy needs. You can also check out the <a href="http://www.electrichomebusiness.com/ambit_energy_details.html" target='_blank'>Ambit Energy</a> business opportunity so you can make some money while helping to save the planet.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The New Stimulus Plan For Renewable Energy <a href="http://www.greenenergysteps.com/" target="_blank">Alternative Energy</a></p>
<p>In the coming year when the new U.S. administration takes control over the economy. We will see a stimulus that will include green energy steps toward solar power . Since our demand for renewable energy will continue to get stronger, eliminating carbon dioxide emissions will require adopting green energy practices. However, the cost has been prohibitively high for most of the commonly used and available methods. Generating energy from home has many possibilities, including getting a rebate or check from the power company for excess power that you&#8217;ve sold back.</p>
<p>One would hope that incentives given by the government will include, tax credits given to tax payers in some form of a credit on their taxes for energy efficiency purchases. Some tax credits were established under the Energy Policy Act of 2005. The credits can be taken on weatherization, windows, vehicle purchases and appliances. The specifics can be found out from the IRS, local government and your energy company. The credits are available to individuals and businesses.</p>
<p>The Next Step In Solar Energy <a href="http://www.greenenergysteps.com/" target="_blank">Wind Energy</a></p>
<p>Some local governments and state governments already give incentives to residents that are energy efficient. To find out if you qualify for such incentives you should contact you local power company and department of energy.<br />
Incentives are a great way to get people on board with renewable energy. They can make someone choose an energy efficient product over one that is not. Energy efficiency incentives are something that may not be around forever, so go ahead and take advantage of them and move tward energy independence now.</p>
<p>Purchases of certain energy star appliances may make you eligible for rebates. These rebates are offered by partners of the energy star program. Many times your local power supplier will provide a list in addition to energy star.<br />
Solar energy efficiency is very well the basis of the future of energy in this country. The homeowner will benefit from the incentives.</p>
<p>The Focus On Solar Energy <a href="http://www.greenenergysteps.com/" target="_blank">Sustainable Development</a></p>
<p>Public and private entities will benefit from the new administrations focus on solar energy making the U.S. energy independent .</p>
<p>Solar energy is a favored renewable and it is easily available . The new advances in solar energy are moving it quickly to the forefront of alternative energy sources. New equipment has been developed that allows for energy to be stored for use later when the sun is not out.</p>
<p>Several recent innovations in solar technology have brought us to the brink of affordable solar power that can be used anywhere. Flexible film solar can be built into just about anything, from awnings to bikinis. Now we will start working on affordability. New advances on how to put the flexible sheets together has recently become available. Even solar paint is on the horizon.<br />
The next step to really getting solar everywhere as it should be it to have similar revolutionary advances in storage technology.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are thousands of different solar powered gadgets available from solar mailboxes to solar watches and more. Solar powered gadgets are getting cheaper as the solar panel technology improves and gets less expensive to manufacture.</p>
<p>Heres a few of the innovative solar gadgets available on the market today and some examples of specific solar powered products to consider.</p>
<p>What about gadgets with built-in batteries? When it comes to charging your phone or iPod, the sun has been left you cold.</p>
<p>One innovative product, HYmini, is a universal power charger that uses wind and solar energy to top up most gadgets, and it comes with mini solar panels and extra batteries. Twenty minutes of wind power will provide 30 minutes of iPod time.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Flashlights &#8211; </strong><br />
Hand-held solar flashlights operate for nearly three hours when fully charged, and can be mounted on a bicycle for nighttime rides. Some of the features for this cool gadget are AM FM reception — AM range: 525-1650 KHz, FM range: 88-108 MHz; Built-in dynamo generator with manual winding lever, Built-in flashlight (with clear, amber and red lenses); Hi-fi speaker and 3.5mm earphone jack.</p>
<p>A solar powered flashlight that can also charge your cell phone, MP3 player, or PDA is on useful and versatile solar powered gadget. The ultra-bright LED flashlight (65,000MCD) uses mono-crystalline silicon solar panels for power generation and recharging the built-in 700mAh/3.6v NI-MH battery.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Tents &#8211; </strong><br />
Yes, it is a tent that comes with it&#8217;s own solar panel and integrated, interior LED lights. You can also use the solar panels independently to charge batteries. It&#8217;s approximately 4-6 hours of direct light to yield 2-4 hours tent light. The 7&#8243; (18 cm) solar panel is placed on the top of the tent&#8217;s hub and clicked into place. The fly is then placed on top of solar panel &amp; tent, and sun will charge the panel through the clear PVC window at the top of the fly. The tent comes in as 4-person and a 6-person versions.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Lighters &#8211; </strong><br />
This great solar fire starter is perfect for backpacking, boating, hiking and as a solar survival tool.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Tombstones &#8211; </strong><br />
Vidstone developed the solar powered Serenity Panel, &#8216;Utilizing ground-breaking solar-powered technology, this weather-proof LCD panel provides families and friends with a timeless way to commemorate a life that’s passed at one’s final resting place.&#8221; It adds about two grand to the price of a conventional tombstone and has a waterproof 7&#8243; screen. Four hours of sunlight will play a ten minute video six times. Michael at Groovy Green notes that &#8216;There’s even a head-phone jack to limit your groove from beyond the grave to inquiring ears only.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Solar Lighted Mailboxes &#8211; </strong><br />
Solar panels gathers the sun&#8217;s energy and charge the battery pack. At night, address panels automatically light up at dusk and go off at dawn.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Powered Headset &#8211; </strong><br />
A solar-powered headset is a solar gadget perfectly suited for the environmentally-conscious outdoorsman who loves music. This headset is great for daytime jogging, or working in the yard.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Radio &#8211; </strong><br />
You will be able to listen your favorite radio shows and if you need to see better in the dark the flashlight is included.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Watches – </strong><br />
Swiss-made LeJour solar watches ($99.95), which run on either sunlight or ambient lighting, work for a month in total darkness.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Backpacks and Bags -</strong><br />
Solar bags are some of the coolest green products out there, and they make a great gift, too! Compare and choose which one best meets your needs and your taste. The name says it all, the Voltaic Backpack Solar Powered Backpack is a daypack that host several small solar panels on the back of the bag.</p>
<p>The idea is that the Voltaic Backpack Solar Powered Backpack can charge your small electronics such as MP3 players, cameras, etc as you travel. You can also switch the sun jar completely off to save power. Keeping the lantern in bright sunlight for 8 hours you will supply it with power for 3 hours. If you need it fully charged then you should keep it in the sunlight for 30 hours.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Power Chargers and Battery Packs &#8211; </strong><br />
Solar battery chargers bring a pair of nickel-cadmium batteries to life in less than seven hours. It&#8217;s not clear how long the panels need to soak in the sun&#8217;s rays, but Velleman claims this power brick&#8217;s good enough to charge laptops, electric hand tools, GPS systems and&#8211;we kid you not&#8211;caravans, yachts, and DC refrigerators.</p>
<p>The Solio will charge from 4 volt to 12 volt devices by doubling or tripling the power output using the adapters. There are four contacts in the adapter tip system cable and to get up to the higher 12 volts it just uses three of these outputs at 3.6 volts to get the 10.8 volts for these higher voltage charges.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The use of solar panels for heating and electricity in homes is rapidly becoming more and more popular. There are televised programs on the Discovery channel showing the benefits of solar power as well as programs such as the home building show with Tye Pennington that show how solar panels can save money from heating bills. </p>
<p>Solar panels are not complicated to install and they are not as costly as one might imagine. You are paid back ten fold what you put out over five, ten and twenty years down the road. Studies where buildings have opted to use solar panels have come back showing savings in energy cost in the thousands. </p>
<p>Using solar energy is not only beneficial to your pocket book but to our lives in general. Most electricity within the United States is powered by coal or oil. These resources are non-renewable and will some day cease to exist. They cost money to pull out of the earth and they cost money to break down into use. They cost us money to have it shipped across the nation. The power of the sun however is free. </p>
<p>The sun is a renewable energy source that can provide heating, cooling, lights and more simply through the use of solar panels. There are even solar cell vehicles that are in prototype phase at this time. The world can benefit greatly from using solar panels in their home and beyond. </p>
<p>You can find an abundance of information form where to purchase to how to install solar panels online. The savings will thrill you and the knowledge that you are keeping the planet healthy for your children may be all that you need to make a change in your energy use.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As solar technology advances, the more compact a solar power system is becoming, which is increasingly attractive to homeowners who want to reduce their utility bills. In addition to being cost effective, choosing to install <a href="http://www.sunjuiced.com/specialty-solar-lights/misc/" target=_blank >solar panels</a>into your home is very friendly to the environment. In this article, we&#8217;ll explain how solar power works and how you can use it to your benefit.</p>
<p>Photovoltaic means electricity from light. This solar power system uses daylight to power ordinary electrical equipment like household appliances, computers and lighting. Having your own solar photovoltaic (PV) system means that you can generate your own electricity from the free and inexhaustible solar power. A photovoltaic system never needs refueling, emits no pollution and can be expected to operate for twenty to twenty-five years with minimal maintenance. A typical PV system on a house roof could prevent over 34 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions during its lifetime.</p>
<p>The electrical output of a PV cell is dependent upon the intensity of the light to which it is exposed. Therefore, PV cells usually generate more electricity on bright days than when skies are overcast. This does not mean that your solar system will not work when skies are grey. Over the last few years, PV technology has also started to be introduced into urban areas, incorporated into the roofs and facades of homes, offices and factories. </p>
<p>Before installing a solar power system into your home, carefully evaluate your goals. Do you want to completely eliminate your electricity bill? How many solar panels will your home need to be able to operate effectively? Lastly, how many solar panels can you reasonably afford? Before you completely cover your roof in panels, keep in mind that installing more modules beyond a certain point ceases to be financially efficient. Using a Solar Pathfinder to determine the net energy output of partially shaded modules will determine if it is economically beneficial to install modules in those areas.</p>
<p>Investing in a <a href="http://www.sunjuiced.com" target=_blank >solar power system</a> for your home or business is a wise decision, both economically and environmentally. A properly designed and installed solar system can pay for itself in as little as five to ten years — and even faster if you take advantage of manufacturer and government rebates. Solar electricity can raise the value of the home and create a brighter outlook for the future of our planet.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you&#8217;re drowning in the cost of your utility bills, then investing in a solar water heater may be the life-jacket that you&#8217;re looking for. These hot water systems can save you a bundle on heating water for your home because it uses sun energy as fuel. Unlike fossil fuels, sunshine is free, clean and there is an infinite supply. In this article, we&#8217;ll explain how these systems work and how it can save you money. </p>
<p>Sun powered water heating systems include storage tanks and solar collectors. There are two<br />
types of these heating systems: active, which have circulating pumps and controls, and passive heating systems, which don&#8217;t. Passive heating systems are typically less expensive than active systems, but they&#8217;re usually not as efficient. </p>
<p>However, passive systems can be more reliable and may last longer. For active systems, discuss the maintenance requirements with your system provider and consult the system&#8217;s owner&#8217;s manual. Most water heaters that run on sun power, require a well-insulated storage tank. </p>
<p>Solar storage tanks have an additional outlet and inlet connected to and from the collector. In two-tank systems, the solar heater preheats water before it enters the conventional water heater. In one-tank systems, the back-up heater is combined with the solar storage in one tank. </p>
<p>The main problem with solar water heating systems is that they require a backup system for those days when the sun is obliterated by clouds. Conventional storage water heaters usually<br />
provide backup and may already be part of the solar system package. A backup system may also<br />
be part of the solar collector, such as rooftop tanks with thermo-siphon systems. </p>
<p>Since an integral-collector storage system already stores hot water in addition to collecting solar heat, it may be packaged with a demand water heater for backup. Before you purchase and install a solar powered water heating system, you should consider the economics of solar energy systems, evaluate your site&#8217;s solar resource, determine the correct system size and energy efficiency and check into your local codes and regulations. </p>
<p>The proper installation depends on your solar resources, climate, local building code requirements and safety issues. It&#8217;s best to have a qualified, solar thermal systems contractor install your system. Regular maintenance on simple systems can be as infrequent as every 3–5 years, preferably by a solar contractor. Systems with electrical components usually require a replacement part after 10 years. </p>
<p>Although <a href="http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/misc" target=_blank >solar water systems</a> do have minor problems, the technology is quickly catching up.<br />
These systems are a smart investment for consumers because they pay for themselves in a relatively short period of time by reducing your utility bills. </p>
<p>As a bonus, many governments and manufacturers offer rebates to people purchasing environmentally friendly household products. Buying a solar energy system is a win-win situation. You can save money on your utility bills, all the while being environmentally responsible.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Everybody wants green energy. Being able to get the power we need without damaging the environment is an obvious goal &#8211; but what&#8217;s the best way to achieve it? Should we be opting for wind farms, hydroelectricity, or <a href="hhttp://www.sunjuiced.com/categories/" target="_blank">solar energy</a> as alternative power?</p>
<p>Wind farms often receive a bad press, especially when they&#8217;re situated near homes or in popular hiking areas. They can make a lot of noise and because they have to be placed on skylines for maximum efficiency they often spoil views. Offshore wind farms are less problematic in this way and can take advantage of fierce sea winds, increasing their output, but they rely on a nation having a lot of suitable coastline.</p>
<p>Whilst the Netherlands does very well with its wind farms, the US is, considering the comparative size of its population, at a distinct disadvantage. For the home-owner, small wind-powered generators are available, but they&#8217;re not very efficient and often result in complaints from neighbors.</p>
<p>Hydroelectricity is a much more effective way of generating power, using the natural energy of rivers or tidal forces. However, there are a limited number of suitable locations for hydroelectric generators, and often these are in areas which already provide fertile farmland, so a lot of people have to be displaced and lose their land in order for them to be built. They can also have a damaging impact on local wildlife.</p>
<p>Of these three major options, only solar energy as <a href="http://www.sunjuiced.com/category/misc" target="_blank">alternative power</a> passes the test of being truly non-polluting, practical and easy to access. Modern solar panels can still function effectively even in areas where it&#8217;s frequently cloudy. They don&#8217;t get in anyone&#8217;s way and, once installed, they require very little maintenance. For these reasons, the greenest way to generate the power we need is by harnessing the power of the sun.</p>
